The Second Time Blood Donation Activities Are Held, Sonya: Ready to Be a Routine Agenda

Mojokerto – "Blood donation activities are one of the events to carry out social care actions by PT. Pradha Karya Perkasa employees in collaboration with PMI Mojokerto City to get red blood stock supply in the Mojokerto area" said Sonya as the chairman of the blood donation committee, Thursday (24/04) in front of the office of PT. Pradha Karya Perkasa, Jalan Mojosari-Pacet No. 88 Mojokerto.

The event was successfully held by collecting a total of 102 bags of red blood consisting of blood types A, B, AB, and O. Then the blood that had been collected was directly handed over to PMI. "Our employees have many who have followed blood donation before here, so with an event like this, they don't have to bother anymore to the PMI office to follow the blood donor. But it does not rule out the possibility that there are also many new participants who follow because there is this moment, judging from the enthusiasm of participants when registering themselves, " Added Sonya again.

​Blood donation activities have good benefits for donors such as a more fit body after blood donation. However, not everyone can be a donor. "Like the current event, there were about 200 people who signed up but only about 100 people managed to qualify to continue donating," Sonya said. Prospective blood donors are first screened or checked the condition of the body. This is intended so that the blood obtained is good and also does not cause anything dangerous for donors afterwards. Therefore, it is highly recommended for people who will follow blood donation in the future to better prepare themselves. Moreover, this event will be held at least once every 3 months.
